Snap into it!
From Leaving No Stone Unthrown, one of 296 sayings written by John Sarris over thirty years.
From Alfred’s journal
Switch found a mousetrap behind the garage this morning, sprung and rusted, and spent an hour trying to get it to go off again. It would not. He kept setting the bar and touching the plate and nothing happened, and when he finally got the bar to fall it just sagged over like an old man sitting down. I used to think the whole virtue of a trap was its patience, the long wait in the dark. Watching him I decided the waiting is nothing; the waiting is just rust accumulating. Snap into it! is what I said to him, and he jumped, and I apologized, though not much. The thing had been set for years and never once closed on anything.

He reads what you tell him and writes a page of his journal back, with a few of these chosen for you. It costs nothing and asks for nothing.
